T'was a day marked for remembrance
a day bookmarked for jubilance
A day when everything was fixed
Twenty second October, two thousand and six

We started without knowing anything
Some say too fast for any feeling
Some say we won't last 2 weeks
Others say just go with the beats

But we lasted far long than they thought
The battles all we together fought
But in the light, a streak of darkness lie
Vanquishing all in the night's cry

And then came the separation and loss
upon reasons which I wont disclose
Hearts once that were interwined
Now broken, grinded to fine

But we rebuild from a foundation of trust
That is a friendship that will outlast
Let what we had be a memory
To look back and savour the simplicity
