In every loss, in every lie
In every truth that you'd deny
And each regret and each goodbye
was a mistake too great to hide

Tactically, it is the worst move anyone could ever make
But somehow, it is a move that makes perfect strategical sense

When you have someone who you took under your wing for tutelage

you yourself is usually the last person to realise that that someone had grown out of your shadow

Its only when you see with your own eyes how that someone seems to be more outgoing, more cheerful..more energetic when that someone is with their peers

that you realised that the only reason why that someone sometimes look troubled is because

You're the one holding that person back.

Perhaps its time that I step aside.

Its time for that someone to take their rightful place

Its times like this that understand what it means when they say when you hold on to something which doesn't want to be held on, you're just giving it a better impetus to break away.

So much so that even the littlest mistake that you did, will be magnified to that person's eyes

Rather than hurt them more. Perhaps its best to let go.

My mentor in counselling, Gerald drilled this into me during my internship at SHF :

When you start to care too much, that's when you know you lost the battle
When you start to blame yourself, there's when you know you lost the war

    Cant you see?

    Somewhere along the line...

    I already lost the war.
